Description
Terminology is an important part of a successful Building Information Modeling (BIM) project, as all participants must understand the use of basic terms to work effectively and intelligently. This course discusses the terminology required to understand BIM in a global context, with specific reference to the terms used in the UK and US.
Objectives
- Identify the terminology used when working on a BIM Project
- Demonstrate how BIM terms should be known and used during the strategy, project planning and operational phases of assets
- Examine how Level of Development (LOD) should be used and the main references and strategy toward doing so
