Description
Our Back of the House: 05. Knife Safety elearning course provides safety and first aid tips to help ensure your kitchen staff stays safe on the job. We'll start by providing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) best practice tips when it comes to knife safety. From there, we'll review proper knife storage and describe when safety equipment is needed. We'll also discuss general knife safety protocols for everyday tasks and quickly review the different types of knives and what tasks they're most suited for. Finally, we will explain what you should do if you or a colleague gets cut. This course includes a video presentation, supplementary material for future reference and an online quiz to test your knowledge.
