This course focuses on helping new managers communicate effectively and lead employees. Learn the 5 primary roles of a manager and how to foster effective teamwork. The course discusses the 6 stages of team development, organization and function. It also covers effective delegation of tasks and its benefits for staff development and motivation and how to assess employee performance. You will learn the importance of effective communication with your staff, fellow managers and senior executives as well as when attending or chairing a meeting. Part of the Moving into Management series, this course, takes approximately 1 hour to complete. It includes inline quizzes and activities, downloadable support documents and a test at the end for a certificate of mastery. The narrated video presentation guides you through the steps in detail for an easy learning experience. The course is divided into topic sections and has a menu for easy navigation so that you can learn at your own pace.
