After Effects is used to combine many elements, including video, audio, text, graphics, and visual effects. Think of After Effects as Photoshop with added motion features. You can animate text or shapes, and then add them to a video edited in Premiere Pro. After Effects can be intimidating, with hundreds of menu options and effects. We will stick to the basics in this course and not go too heavily into all the effects. You will learn your way around the After Effects interface and see how a few simple steps can spice up your video or animation project.
