Description
The return on investment metric is the calculation of how much value was generated for a company based on their training program. The ROI can be calculated by looking at what percentage of an employee's time, or money spent, that resulted in increased productivity. Now keep in mind this only includes monetary and not non-monetary benefits like improved quality products or customer satisfaction which are hard to measure but ultimately worth it when determining if a given training program has been successful. As such companies typically want to see at least two positive outcomes before they decide whether it's worth continuing with said program.
